Description
Aprovel Tablets (Irbesartan) by Sanofi is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) used primarily to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and to protect the kidneys in diabetic patients with kidney disease. It works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a chemical that causes blood vessels to narrow, thereby relaxing and widening the vessels to lower blood pressure. It is generally well tolerated but should be used under medical supervision, as it may cause dizziness, elevated potassium levels, and is contraindicated in pregnancy.
