Description
Trimetabol Syrup is a appetite stimulant and nutritional supplement syrup commonly used in pediatric practice to improve appetite, promote weight gain, and correct nutritional deficiencies in children suffering from anorexia, malnutrition, and poor growth. It contains a combination of Lysine Hydrochloride (an essential amino acid that stimulates appetite and supports protein synthesis), Cyproheptadine Hydrochloride (an antihistamine with potent appetite-stimulating properties that works by blocking serotonin and histamine receptors), and Vitamin B-Complex including B1, B2, B6, and B12, which support energy metabolism, nervous system function, and overall growth and development. It is indicated for children with failure to thrive, poor appetite, underweight conditions, convalescence after illness, and states of increased nutritional demand, and is administered orally in a pleasant-tasting syrup form, typically 5–10ml two to three times daily before meals as directed by a physician. While generally safe and well tolerated, prolonged use of Cyproheptadine may cause drowsiness, sedation, and dry mouth, and the syrup should be used under medical supervision to avoid dependency on appetite stimulants.
