Description
Titan Injection contains Ceftriaxone, a third-generation broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic administered via intramuscular (IM) or intravenous (IV) route for the treatment of serious bacterial infections. It works by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis and leading to cell lysis and death, and is effective against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative organisms. It is commonly indicated for infections including pneumonia, meningitis, septicemia, intra-abdominal infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and gonorrhea. Due to its long half-life of approximately 6–8 hours, Ceftriaxone offers the convenience of once-daily dosing, though it should be used with caution in patients with hypersensitivity to beta-lactam antibiotics or those with severe hepatic and renal impairment.
