Description

Gyno-Daktarin Vaginal Cream (Miconazole Nitrate) is an antifungal preparation used for the local treatment of vaginal candidiasis (thrush) and other fungal or yeast infections of the vaginal area. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane, thereby disrupting membrane integrity and leading to fungal cell death. Applied intravaginally using an applicator, it provides targeted local therapy with minimal systemic absorption, ensuring effective treatment with reduced risk of systemic side effects. It relieves associated symptoms such as itching, burning, discharge, and irritation, and may also be used to treat concurrent fungal infections of the vulva and surrounding skin.
