Daktacort Cream (miconazole nitrate + hydrocortisone)

Description

DAKTACORT Cream contains a combination of Miconazole Nitrate (antifungal) and Hydrocortisone (corticosteroid), making it effective against skin conditions involving both fungal infection and inflammation. Miconazole works by disrupting the fungal cell membrane, eliminating the infection, while Hydrocortisone reduces associated redness, itching, and swelling. It is commonly indicated for infected eczema, intertrigo, fungal skin infections with inflammatory components, and dermatitis complicated by fungal or bacterial superinfection. Daktacort should be used for short-term treatment only, as prolonged use of corticosteroid-containing creams may lead to skin thinning and other local side effects.
