Description

Neoprox (Naproxen) is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by inhibiting COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain, inflammation, and fever. It is widely used for conditions such as arthritis, musculoskeletal pain, dysmenorrhea, headache, and acute gout. Naproxen offers a longer duration of action compared to many other NSAIDs, allowing twice-daily dosing. Common side effects include GI irritation, so it is generally advised to take it with food or milk.
