Description
Coralan Tablets (Ivabradine) by Servier is a selective and specific inhibitor of the cardiac pacemaker If current, indicated for the treatment of chronic stable angina and chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) in patients with heart rate ≥75 bpm in sinus rhythm. Unlike beta-blockers, it exclusively reduces heart rate by blocking the If channels in the sinoatrial node without affecting myocardial contractility or blood pressure. Administered twice daily with meals, it improves exercise tolerance in angina and reduces the risk of hospitalization due to worsening heart failure. It is contraindicated in acute decompensated heart failure, severe bradycardia, sick sinus syndrome, and should not be used concurrently with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors.
