Concor Tablets (Bisoprolol Hemifumarate)

Description

Concor Tablets (Bisoprolol Hemifumarate) is a highly selective beta-1 adrenergic blocker indicated for the management of hypertension, stable angina pectoris, and chronic heart failure (CHF). It works by selectively blocking cardiac beta-1 receptors, reducing heart rate, myocardial contractility, and blood pressure, thereby decreasing cardiac workload and oxygen demand. Administered once daily, it offers the advantage of high cardioselectivity with minimal effect on beta-2 receptors, making it safer in patients with mild respiratory conditions. It should not be abruptly discontinued and is contraindicated in acute heart failure, severe bradycardia, and second or third-degree heart block.
