Clobederm Lotion (Clobetasol Propionate Topical Solution USP)

Description

Clobederm Lotion (Clobetasol Propionate Topical Solution USP) is a super-potent Class I topical corticosteroid indicated for the relief of inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses of the scalp, such as psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis. It exerts its action through potent anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive properties by suppressing the release of inflammatory mediators in the affected skin. Applied directly to the scalp or affected area, it should be used sparingly and limited to short-term use (typically no more than 2 consecutive weeks) due to the risk of local and systemic side effects. Prolonged use should be avoided as it may cause skin atrophy, telangiectasia, hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis suppression, and adrenal insufficiency.
