CellCept 500 mg (Mycophenolate Mofetil)

CellCept is an antimetabolite immunosuppressant indicated for the prophylaxis of organ rejection in adult and pediatric recipients (≥3 months) of allogeneic kidney, heart, or liver transplants, used in combination with other immunosuppressants. It is also indicated for the treatment of Class III–V lupus nephritis. It works by suppressing immune system activity — specifically reducing the proliferation of white blood cells that would otherwise attack the transplanted organ. Usual dose is 1–1.5 g twice daily depending on transplant type; contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation, with regular blood count monitoring required.
