Description

Glucovance (Metformin + Glibenclamide) is a fixed-dose combination oral antidiabetic medication used to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus who require dual therapy. Metformin reduces hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity, while Glibenclamide (Glyburide), a sulfonylurea, stimulates pancreatic beta cells to secrete more insulin, providing complementary and synergistic blood sugar lowering effects.
