Description

Duofilm Lotion (Salicylic Acid 16.7% + Lactic Acid 16.7%) is a topical keratolytic preparation used for the treatment of common and plantar warts (verrucae). Salicylic acid softens and breaks down the thickened keratin layer of the wart, while lactic acid enhances this keratolytic action and aids in tissue maceration, facilitating gradual removal of the infected skin. It is applied daily to the affected area after soaking and filing, with consistent use over several weeks required for effective wart clearance. It should be used with caution on facial, genital, or inflamed skin, and avoided in diabetic patients or those with peripheral vascular disease due to the risk of tissue damage.
