Clobevate Cream (Clobetasol propionate)

Description

Clobevate Cream (Clobetasol Propionate) is a super-potent topical corticosteroid indicated for the short-term treatment of inflammatory and pruritic skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, contact dermatitis, and other corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses affecting the body. It works by binding to intracellular glucocorticoid receptors, suppressing the release of pro-inflammatory mediators, reducing vasodilation, and inhibiting immune responses within the affected skin. Applied as a thin layer to the affected area once or twice daily, treatment should not exceed 2 consecutive weeks, and total weekly dose should not surpass 50g to minimize systemic absorption. Long-term or excessive use may lead to skin thinning, striae, telangiectasia, and HPA axis suppression, and it should be avoided on the face, groin, or axillae unless specifically directed by a physician.
