Description

TEGRAL 200mg (Carbamazepine) is an anti-epileptic and anticonvulsant medication marketed by Novartis Pharma Pakistan Ltd. It works by stabilising overactive nerve cells through sodium channel blockade, calming abnormal electrical signals in the brain, and is prescribed for generalised tonic-clonic and partial seizures in adults and children with epilepsy, as well as for relieving the sharp episodic nerve pain of trigeminal neuralgia. It is also used in the treatment of bipolar disorder and manic-depressive psychosis in patients unresponsive to lithium therapy. It is available as 200mg film-coated tablets and requires gradual dose titration and regular medical monitoring during treatment.
