Description

SMECTA Sachets contain Diosmectite (Dioctahedral Smectite) 3g per sachet, a natural clay-based gastrointestinal protector originally manufactured by IPSEN Pharma, France, and locally by ATCO Laboratories Ltd., Pakistan, widely used for treating acute and chronic diarrhea, gastroenteritis, heartburn, indigestion, and irritable bowel syndrome. The fine particles of smectite effectively bind to toxins, bacteria, and viruses in the gut, reducing their impact and forming a protective layer on the mucous membrane of the intestine, thereby soothing irritation and promoting healing. It is administered as a powder dissolved in half a glass of water, with a usual adult dose of 3 sachets daily in 2–3 divided doses, and is suitable for use in adults, children, and infants, making it a versatile solution for the entire family.
