Description
Duphaston (Dydrogesterone) is a synthetic oral progestogen closely resembling natural progesterone in structure and activity, with high selectivity for progesterone receptors and no androgenic, estrogenic, corticoid, or anabolic side effects. It is indicated for a broad spectrum of gynecological conditions including threatened and recurrent miscarriage, endometriosis, dysmenorrhea, irregular uterine bleeding, premenstrual syndrome, and luteal phase support in infertility and ART protocols. Unlike many progestogens, it does not inhibit ovulation at therapeutic doses, making it suitable for use in women trying to conceive. It is well tolerated with an excellent safety profile across all trimesters of pregnancy, distinguishing it from older synthetic progestogens.
